A romantic getaway vacation -- in the pre-Civil War Ozarks?

What if, alone and lost in a Missouri Ozarks cave in the 21st Century, you stumble through an exit– and land in the lap of an aromatic man in 1859?

Not your idea of the perfect vacation?

Then pity Susa Hildebrand, dependent for survival on a cranky aerial photographer whose government mission outranks helping her find her way home, and whose assets include transportation (mules), food (beans), protection (a rifle), and a lusty aura. She also has to wear an ugly dress until someone even unluckier shows up in the dangerous, male-dominated border area.

Bickford Pelletier can be mighty persuasive, though, and if she has to live in his time, Susa could do a lot worse.

But what about the teenage twins she left behind?

Reviews:

"RIGHT MAN, WRONG TIME is a wonderfully written time travel romance with believable characters you will grow to love. CJ Winters uses vivid scenery while describing the 1800's that will actually make you feel as if you were right in the midst of it. Susa and Bick will entertain you with their bickering and make you laugh out loud at some of their escapades. Even though they come from two different worlds, you know they are meant to be together. CJ Winters is a writer with remarkable talent. I look forward to many happy nights reading other books she has written. RIGHT MAN, WRONG TIME comes highly recommended."

"RIGHT MAN, WRONG TIME is a delightful book, full of humor. The characters are likable, and well-developed. The descriptions of the people, and the struggles to travel in covered wagons over hilly terrain are great. Susa finds out the hard way how strong our forefathers must have been, but she is no wimp herself. Bick is strong and protective, an old-fashioned gentle man. I had no problem with the way the main characters slipped into another time. I thoroughly enjoyed this book, and I recommend it highly."

"What a wonderful combination of time-travel, romance, suspense, and just plain fun. ...often laugh-out-loud funny, yet at times the story gets very emotional....plenty of tense moments... Fans of romance in general and time-travel in particular should thoroughly enjoy this book. I certainly did!"

"C. J. Winters does an excellent job of portraying the difficulties of going from our time of modern convenience to the era of the development of the Wild West and the struggles these people faced.  The twist at the end will surprise and delight you. I recommend a trip back in time with this 4 blue ribbon rated book."

Right Man, Wrong Time is a well-plotted, often funny, and emotionally engaging romance. Winters crafts a detailed and enjoyable story with vibrant leads, an interesting supporting cast, and fast-moving action. Her attention to rich details, clever dialogue, and full-bodied characterizations weaves this into a thoroughly touching and rewarding read.

"C.J. Winters must have a great sense of humor as it comes out in the thoughts Susa has after she discovers the year she's fallen into... The characters are very strong... Susa and Bick are both determined to have what they know, but they also have the compassion and love for each other to see them through their time-warp... C.J. also writes very strong secondary characters. Some that help Susa and Bick, and others that want to rip them apart... I'm sure readers of all genres will enjoy a little trip to the past and back again."

"3 Stars - An entertaining read. Winters adds humor and romance to her story for just the right blend... Time travel and the Ozarks make a great combination.
